Our History

1970 · The Beginnings

With the purpose of strengthening the consortial activity, on 7th March 1970 the CONSORTIUM Autocisterne Vinicole was founded under the acronym of CONS.A.V., the result of the joining of the extinct C.A.F. Faenza and C.A.V. Lugo. The headquarter was established in Viale delle Ceramiche 12, in Faenza.

1972 · Investment

At the beginning of 1972, considering the necessity of expanding the corporate headquarter and of a parking lot for the members’ vehicles, the society “IMMOBILIARE ROMAGNA S.R.L.” was created to allow the acquisition of the property and area of the current CONS.A.V. headquarters, located in Via Malpighi 2, Faenza.

1974 · Cooperation

The Cooperative CONS.A.V. SOC. COOP. was established on 22nd September 1974, with only 34 members; subsequently, the corporate company evolved into the joint stock company CONS.A.V. SOC. COOP. PER AZIONI.

’90 · Management

In the 1990s, the company “ENOTRASPED S.R.L.” was acquired to further enlarge the service offer related to sea transportation. In the same decade, CONS.A.V. created “OPEN SERVICES”, a consortium company to manage the offer for its own members and others (like, for example, insurance services, gasoline supply, fittings warehouse, etc.).

2008 · Vision

In the early 2000s the pumping and storage services were implemented with wine pumps for the loading and unloading of liquid food goods, as well as with a tank fleet of over 45.000 hl. In 2008, “IMMOBILIARE ROMAGNA” was incorporated into CONS.A.V. by “fusion through acquisition”, so CONS.A.V became the only owner of the entire building complex; furthermore, the controlled societies “LOGICAL”, “ENOTRASPED” and “OPEN SERVICES” were put into liquidation, in order to optimize the costs and uniform the offer of CONS.A.V. services, which continue to be the company’s main focus still nowadays.

2024 · Evolution

2024 marks an important step that sees CONS.A.V and Carp (a national and international transport company) joining their future thanks to network contract: the collaboration, optimization of resources, the potential of the fleets, the accurate organization and the reliability of the team are a guarantee for immediate problem solving for any possible issues the transportation of any kind of liquid food products.
